Hello, my name is Andrew and thank you for stopping by my small corner of the internet! Below you'll find out a little bit about my journey and if anything resonates with you, please don't hesitate to use the contact form and get in touch!
My remarkable journey is a true legacy story of the London 2012 Paralympics. Born in January 1993, with Cerebral Palsy, weighing just 1lb 6oz and handed only a five per cent chance of survival, I have managed to overcome these odds to reach the podium, as a T33 Wheelchair Sprinter, at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, the World Championships in 2017 and 2019 and Tokyo 2021.
The catalyst for a change in my whole way of life came when I attended the London event as a spectator. What happened was life-changing. Thrilled and mesmerised at the exploits of the likes of quadruple gold winner David Weir, I decided there and then that I had to get on that track.
I became a proud member of Stockport Harriers Wheelchair Racing Group and, ultimately a member of the national squad - Paralympics GB!
I was recently decorated with an M.B.E. for my services to Disability Sport and Athletics by King Charles III at Windsor Castle; after being named in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list in January 2022, I'm motivated to inspire others by my achievements and continue the legacy of 2012.
